Little sister

Image result for younger sister cartoon I want you to know that things are going to be hard sometimes. You'll get so overwhelmed that it might get hard to breathe, but I promise if you get up and walk away from whatever it is for a little bit, that when you come back, you can conquer it. I know you can conquer it because you're my little sister, and you can do anything you put your mind to. Plus, I'm always just a phone call away to help. I'm writing this to you because I fear that you haven't learned from all of my mistakes, and I really want you to do well in this world. I'm writing this because I want to see you become the amazing, world-changing woman I know you can be. I'm writing this because this world is a scary place, and I want you to know what I didn't know. Although you have a smart mouth and give attitude, I still put up with you. There are times where I want to strangle you but I'm sure it's just a phase and as you get older you'll probably soften up.

Grandpa

Image result for grandpa and daughter cartoon                    I learn from you every time I’m with you. I have learned to be kinder. You make someone feel like the most important person when you speak to them. You’ve taught me to be sweeter. Your sweet nature fills the room. You’ve taught me to laugh at myself. You don’t get upset when your hearing aids fail and you can’t hear someone. You’ve taught me to love my family endlessly. You will drop anything for us. You’ve taught me to be a better person. Many people my age don’t take the time to get to know their grandparents. Their grandparents are just these ancient people that they can’t possibly relate to. If people started treating their grandparents like people, they'd realize they are actually pretty cool. They have funny stories. Or tell stories of a terrible job they had. Or a bad date they had in their twenties. They have had amazing experiences and we should all take the time to listen to every story they are willing to share. I love it when you tell stories of you and dad back home and how you guys lived differently. Thank you for being there.

Grandma

Image result for grandma and daughter cartoon                  I admire you a lot. You have put up with a countless amount of negativity in your life, but you still manage to be the most positive person I know. I have never seen you in a bad mood, and I can always count on you to lift my spirits when I need it. You are the strongest and kindest person I know. That strength and perseverance inspire me on a daily basis. Thank you for unconditionally loving me, no matter what I do. With you, I have never had to live up to an expectation. You over exxagerate over my small of accomplishments and make me feel like great, even on my worst days. You have been a no judgment zone. My safe haven. I never have to be anything, but myself with you. I know for a fact that I can tell you absolutely anything, and you will be there for me. Even when you know that I am making a mistake, you never leave my side. Your love is so pure, with no reservations, and is unlike any other love in the world. I also want to thank you just for giving me my mom, which is all that I can ever ask for!

Sister

Dear sister,
Image result for sister and sister cartoon                 You’ve supported me through every endeavor and hardship I’ve faced. You’ve stood by me through every so-called “best friend” that has walked in and out of my life, even when I may have pushed you aside. When people treated me like I was disposable, you went out of your way to assure me of my worth. When I would doubt myself for the silliest things, you’d give me the strength to keep moving forward.
You continue to be someone I can always confide in and trust, not just because you’re my sister, but because you’re my best friend. No fight can strain our bond, because, although we disagree and yell sometimes, by the end of the day we’ll be hugging and laughing together like nothing happened. As we grow older, we seem to change together, like the leaves on the tree in our front yard. Today, as we move on with our lives and discover new people and places, I know we’ll always have each other, not just because you’re my sister, but because you’re my best friend.

Brother

Image result for brother and sister cartoon                    It isn't often that I let you know how grateful I am to have you in my life. Just because I don't always say it, doesn't mean I don't think about it, because I do all the time. When we were little, I used to tell you that I wanted "to throw you in the garbage" when you annoyed me, and now I can't imagine ever wanting you out of my life. We are more like friends than siblings, and I love that about our relationship.
Our ability to converse about any topic without judgment is incredible, and I don't know many pairs of siblings who can talk as freely as we do. I love being the one that you turn to for advice on girls or school. Being your older sister means teaching you the lessons I have learned from my own mistakes. I hope that my advice has helped you over the years. There are so many things that I would like to thank you for, but it would take forever to list them all. I want to thank you for always being my ride home. For being a much better cook than I am, and for making me dinner when I am tired of eating the same thing for the 5th day in a row. For hanging out with me when I am bored, for listening to my problems and offering advice, and for making me laugh– but most importantly, for being you.

mom

Dear mom,

Image result for mom and daughter              I have so much to say and I'm not really sure on where to start. I think it's always difficult as a child to express a lot of things to their mother, especially if it's just thanking you for being you. I always want to give you my thanks after every meal that you make to show you that I'm grateful, but I don't.
You are always there for me whenever I need you and I always know that you will be. Thank you for never making me feel bad about myself. Everytime I do something wrong you always correct me for my own benefit. Whenever my outfit looks dumb you always tell me and never let me leave the house looking bad. Thanks for the rubbing my back all the times I was sick. Thanks for always making me laugh. Thanks for staying up late just to make sure I got home from work okay. Thanks for being at most of my school events and checking up on me whenever I'm out of the house. Thank you for supporting me in everything I do. Thanks for doing everything in your power to make sure that your kids are raised right and always fed. Without you or dad, I don't know where I'll be. Just because I don't say thank you or I love you all the time doesn't mean that I'm not grateful or don't love you.

Dad

Dear dad,

Image result for dad and daughter            Thank you everything that you do for me every day. I will always be grateful and I don't think I can say everything that I want to on a blog post. You taught me many things that I know what to do. It is because of you that I know how to ride a bike, how to swim, and how to make good spaghetti. If it wasn't for you and only on mom, I would've learned how to drive at the age of thirty.
Thank you for always being there for me, my siblings, and mom. You always treated us right and I'm very grateful for that. You continuously encourage me to run after my dreams even when I have lost my faith. Thank you for lifting my spirit up when I am down. You have always been there when something has gone wrong and you are there to make it all better. You are the best father and I'm very lucky. There are many people who don't have a father and wish that there was a father figure in their life. I want to say thank you and that it's my turn to be there for you and mom.
